James' Involvement in the Community:
James spend lots of time within our communtiy working to make it a better place for everyone.
James donates blood to the Canadian Blood Services at the local Blood Donor Clinics. 50% of Canadians will need blood at sometime during their lives, and only 3 - 4% donate.
James is a founding member of the Give a Hand Up Society of BC. A charity dedicated to empowering people out of poverty by helping them to help themselves, while allowing youth an opportunity to make a positive contribution to their community.
James volunteers with the Port Moody Ecological Society. The Port Moody Ecological Society operates a hatchery in Port Moody, tests the water quality throughout the watershed, and works to educate the public about the ecology of the area.
James is a mentor volunteer with Kidstart an organization that works with at risk youth in an attempt to develop positive interests, support learning, and provide meaningful relationships and positive rolemodels.
James volunteers with the Crossroads Hospice Society. The Crossroads Hospice Society offers compassionate support to those affected by the end of life experience while honouring their dignity.
James is a member of VEVA, the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association, which is dedicated to promoting the viability of electric vehicles.
James contibutes to the community in other ways as well. He adopted an elderly dog from the SPCA, participates in the local Terry Fox Run, the Easter Seals 24hr Relay, and supports other community organizations.
